Dinamo Zagreb secure Ismael Bennacer on loan from AC Milan

The 27-year-old returned to the Rossoneri in the summer following a six-month loan stint at Olympique de Marseille, Pan African Football wrote.

Last season, he split his time between Serie A and Ligue 1, making valuable contributions in both leagues.

Reports suggest Milan were willing to part ways with Bennacer, mainly due to his hefty annual salary of 4 million euros.

Bennacer first joined Milan from Empoli in 2019 and went on to feature in 178 matches, registering eight goals and 12 assists. During his time at San Siro, he helped the club clinch the Serie A title and the Italian Super Cup.

On the international stage, Bennacer remains a pivotal figure for Algeria. He was instrumental in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations triumph, where his performances earned him the Player of the Tournament award.
