Borussia Dortmund set to extend Julian Brandt and Emre Can deals
Borussia Dortmund are moving towards securing the long-term futures of Julian Brandt and captain Emre Can with fresh contracts expected to be agreed early in the new year.

Inter have been assessing options since the summer and turned their focus to Wesley after failing to secure Manu Kone earlier in the year. The Brazilian, born in 2002, has established himself as a regular starter in Serie A and has been viewed internally as a player capable of filling Dumfries' role without a significant drop in intensity or output.
Wesley's appeal has gone beyond his performances. Inter have valued his blend of youth and experience, while his reported salary of around two million euros per season has fitted the club's strategy of targeting players who can contribute immediately without stretching the wage structure. His ability to operate as a modern wing-back has been seen as well suited to Inter's tactical demands.
Roma, however, have been in no rush to sell. The capital club have been expected to open talks only at a valuation between 30 and 35 million euros. Inter have explored creative solutions, including the possibility of involving Davide Frattesi in negotiations, as Roma have continued to admire the midfielder and could consider him as part of a broader deal.
Dumfries' situation has sharpened the focus. The Inter defender underwent ankle surgery in London and has admitted the last month had been challenging. "It has been a tough month full of emotions," Dumfries said. "The surgery went well and the worst is now behind me. I am focused on recovery and will do everything I can to return to the pitch as soon as possible."
With no clear return date confirmed, Inter have continued to plan for cover, and Wesley has emerged as one of the most realistic and credible options available.
