Inter Milan set to cash in as Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro completes Monza move

According to Sky Sport Italia, as reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, Inter and the newly promoted Serie A club have reached a full agreement on a deal worth 7.5 million euros.

The Italian champions will also retain 10 per cent of any future transfer fee, although the agreement does not include a buy-back clause, meaning Monza will own the player permanently.

Akinsanmiro attracted interest from several clubs during the summer transfer window, including Bologna, Werder Bremen and Borussia Mönchengladbach. However, Monza won the race for the 21-year-old's signature after securing promotion back to Serie A through the play-offs.

The Nigerian midfielder made 25 Serie A appearances last season and registered one assist, continuing his impressive development in Italian football.

The transfer represents outstanding business for Inter. Akinsanmiro joined the Nerazzurri from Remo Stars' Beyond Limits Academy in January 2023 for just 466,000 euros. His move to Monza for 7.5 million will generate an estimated profit of 7.03 million, underlining Inter's smart investment in one of Nigeria's brightest young talents.

Since arriving in Italy, Akinsanmiro has progressed through Inter's youth ranks before gaining valuable experience during loan spells with Sampdoria and Pisa. He also earned his senior Nigeria debut in December 2025 and was part of the Super Eagles squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Regular first-team football at Monza now offers the promising midfielder another opportunity to continue his development and establish himself as one of Nigeria's leading stars in Serie A.
