Kaizer Chiefs staying in touch with absent coach Nasreddine Nabi

Nabi is currently in Tunisia attending to personal matters after his wife was involved in an accident at home.

Despite his absence, Amakhosi have made an impressive start to their Betway Premiership campaign, winning their opening two fixtures.

Chiefs overcame Stellenbosch FC in the season opener before defeating Polokwane City, scoring three goals across the two matches without conceding.

Ben Youssef credited the team's focus and discipline, saying Nabi's guidance continues to influence preparations and match strategy even from afar.

"We are the technical staff. We are familiar with each other and we work together," said Youssef.

"We keep in contact every day for every training session. We discuss all the plans, we prepare for games together. Coach Nabi is not here physically but he is with us.

"We work together and we are a team. We help each other and we don't think about who is here and who is not here."

The strong start has placed Chiefs at the top of the standings on goal difference, ahead of Durban City, Marumo Gallants and Sekhukhune United, who also have six points from two matches.

Their next challenge comes on Tuesday at FNB Stadium, where they will face Richards Bay in their third league fixture.
