Kaizer Motaung Jr. excited to unleash new Kaizer Chiefs signings
Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. is delighted with the work Kaizer Chiefs have done securing three new signings in Asanele Velebayi, Luke Baartman and Etiosa Ighodaro.
Nabi has missed his side's first three Betway Premiership games of the new season after flying home to Tunisia to attend to his wife, who was involved in a car accident.
Ben Youssef and fellow assistant Cedric Kaze have been in charge of the side, and have overseen three wins, 2-0 over Stellenbosch, 1-0 over Polokwane City, and most recently 1-0 over Richards Bay, with Gaston Sirino netting the only goal at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday after 57 minutes.
Next up for Amakhosi is a league match with Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday 27 August and Nabi should be in attendance in the lead up to the game.
Speaking after their midweek win, Ben Youssef told SuperSport: "Nabi will be with us I hope this week to prepare for the next game against Sundowns."
Sirino was starting his first game of the season after previously coming on as a substitute in the last few matches since recovering from injury.
Reflecting on the win over Richards Bay, the assistant added: "Sirino came back (this season) with a good attitude, we discussed with him his ideas, and what he thinks about this season.
"He is so excited and want to perform and help the team. Congratulations to him and all the players for their attitude, and how they perform in training."
