Kano Pillars set to announce Zayyad Musa capture

Sai Masu Gida ended in ninth place in the recently concluded season and are hard at work preparing for the upcoming campaign.

They have revealed their list of retained players for the 2025-26 season, and are now reportedly close to adding Musa to their ranks, with some outlets suggesting a deal has already been done.

The player is said to have chosen Pillars over Remo Stars and Rivers United.

The Daily Post say: "The player will leave El-Kanemi Warriors following the expiration of his contract."

Meanwhile, Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi top the list of retained by the NPFL side.

The publication added: "Captain, Rabiu Ali is also expected to continue with the club. Other retained players include Muttaka Musa, Abdullahi Abubakar, Fahad Usman, Dawud Ibrahim, Abdullahi Ali, Yusuf Bala Maigoro, Naziru Auwalu Ibrahim, Aminu Adam Sani, Habibu Yakubu, Mustapha Umar, and Ibrahim Sani Halliru.

"Also listed are goalkeeper Jerry Alex, Umar Sani Yakasai, Auwal Ali Malam, Imran Ahmad, Sudais Ali Baba, Zaharadeen Bello, Shehu Abdullahi, Yusuf Abdullahi, Bright Emmanuel, Ibrahim Inuwa, and Mubarak Lawal.

“In addition, several promising developmental players—Jibrin Yusuf, Aminu Muhammed, Mustapha Muhammed, and Muhammad Usman—will join the senior squad as part of the club's vision to blend experience with youthful talent.”
