Leipzig cling to victory with 10-men against St. Pauli

The win broke a three-match winless run for Die Roten Bullen.

The scoring opened in the 16th minute when Benjamin Sesko capitalized on a swift counter-attack, slicing through the defence to score with a precise shot into the right corner.

This goal was Sesko's first since January in the league, marking an end to Leipzig's drought of leading in a Bundesliga match since their 3-3 draw against Bochum earlier that month.

The lead was doubled in the 32nd minute by Xavi Simons, who finished off a beautiful move with a no-look pass from Sesko into the bottom left corner, showcasing the team's flair and creativity on the pitch.

However, the game's complexion changed in the 69th minute when captain Willi Orban was shown a red card for a foul on Elias Saad, leaving Leipzig to defend their lead with one man less.
