Sundowns controlled possession from the opening whistle and created several promising opportunities during the first half, applying sustained pressure on the Moroccan side. Despite failing to add to their advantage, Sundowns will take confidence from a disciplined defensive performance and their overall dominance ahead of the return leg.
The second leg will be played at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Stadium in Rabat on Sunday, 24 May, where the winner on aggregate will be crowned CAF Champions League champions.
