Marumo Gallants seek to clarify Abdeslam Ouaddou exit statement

Ouddou joined Gallants in March this year and lifted the struggling side from the bottom of the standings to secure a 10th-place finish.

The Moroccan coach oversaw five wins, four draws and three losses, but announced his surprise exit, after just three months in charge.

His statement read: "I would like to announce with this press release the end of the adventure with the Marumo Gallants club.

"It has been great to have collaborated with all the resources of the club. I would like to thank first of all my players, my president as well as all the stakeholders of the club who participated from near or far in this mission to save the club ... without forgetting our magnificent supporters.

"The people of Bloemfontein will remain in my heart forever. I wish the best to Marumo Gallants as well as to my players. I love you guys."

However, Gallants posted on Tuesday: "Marumo Gallants Football Club wishes to clarify recent speculation concerning the status of Head Coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou.

"The Club can confirm that it has not received any formal communication or notice of resignation from Coach Ouaddou. In light of this, we will not be making any further comments on the unverified reports currently in circulation.

"We thank the media and our supporters for their understanding and will share any official developments as they become available."
