The Gunners were looking to end a three-match winless run in the league despite setting a perfect winning record in the Champions League on Wednesday to top the European log.
"The mentality is good," Arteta told the club website at the post-match conference.
"And to play with that level of enjoyment about where we are, and then with the conviction to believe in what we do and how good we are, and that we can beat any opponent, and we certainly have done that.
"But then you have to show the quality as well in this league to do it, and it came out in great ways from different players as well."
The Spaniard also praised Gabriel Martinelli's performance and Noni Madueke who came into the starting line-up at the last moment due to Bukayo Saka feeling discomfort during the warm-up.
"We talked before the game that it's going to be a long game," added the 43-year-old
"We're going to have to navigate through different moments. We're going to need everybody fulfilling their role that they have on the day, and I think the players executed that incredibly well."
The Premier League leaders will turn their attention to Tuesday's Carabao Cup second leg semi-final clash against Chelsea, where the Gunners take a 3-2 lead into the match.
