Morocco youngster Chemmsedine Talbi lands in England to join Sunderland

The 20-year-old becomes the fourth signing for the Black Cats this summer transfer window, after the club agreed to a reported £19.5million move with Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge.

According to reports, the deal was agreed on last week with journolist Fabrizio Romano confirming the completion of his medical examination and final paperwork on Tuesday.

The Belgian-born winger who requested to change his football nationality to Moroccan in March, impressed in the 2024/25 season, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 44 matches.

He caught the attention of many when he scored a brace to eliminate Serie A club Atalanta in their UEFA Champions League playoff match.

Talbi will join French midfielder Enzo Le Fée, 25, versatile DR Congo star Noah Sadiki and Senegal's 21-year-old winger Habib Diarra as the club's new signings ahead of the upcoming season.

The signing has taken Sunderland's summer transfer activity passed £89million in spending so far under new sporting director Florent Ghisolfi, with more signings expected.
