Njabulo Blom parts ways with Kaizer Chiefs to return to parent club St Louis City

Njabulo Blom parts ways with Kaizer Chiefs to return to parent club St Louis City

Blom, a youth product of the Amakhosi, made a much-anticipated return to the Glamour Boys, sparking excitement among fans when he signed on loan earlier this season.

However, the loan spell has ultimately proven to be underwhelming. Over the course of the stint, Blom made 19 appearances, starting just 10 matches. Tellingly, he played only 49 minutes across the club's final nine games.

"After completing his loan spell with Kaizer Chiefs, Njabulo Blom will return to his parent club, St. Louis City SC, in the United States of America," Chiefs stated.

"We wish him all the best in Major League Soccer (MLS)."

Blom initially joined St. Louis City in January 2023, where he found more consistent form.

Since his move to MLS, he has made 42 appearances and scored two goals, showcasing the promise that led to his overseas transfer in the first place.

Now back with St. Louis City, Blom will be hoping to rediscover the level of performance that made him a standout during his early days at Kaizer Chiefs.
