Speaking to L'Equipe, Endrick cited Ronaldo as his role model while discussing his early experiences away from the Bernabeu and the guidance he has received from senior figures at the Spanish club.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is my number 1 idol. What I admire most is that at 40 years old, he remains the one who works harder than everyone else."
"He's close to retirement, but he's still capable of playing for many more years. I hope he does."
Endrick left Real Madrid on loan to Olympique Lyon just days before Xabi Alonso was sacked as head coach, a decision that raised eyebrows inside and outside the club.
At the time, letting the young forward go was viewed by some as not making much sense, particularly amid suggestions that he may have been trusted more under Alvaro Arbeloa's influence within the club's development structure.
However, the move to Ligue 1 has proved inspired so far. Endrick has enjoyed a highly successful loan spell, becoming an important player for Lyon and securing regular minutes in the first team.
In just three matches, the Brazilian has scored four goals and added one assist, performances that have seen him described as setting Ligue 1 "on fire".
In his interview, Endrick also revealed that Carlo Ancelotti spoke special words to him earlier this season before his temporary departure, offering reassurance and motivation at a key moment.
"Carlo Ancelotti and I had a wonderful conversation when I left Real Madrid. He gave me some advice that really stuck with me," added Endrick.
