Elsewhere, Magesi FC saw their survival hopes take another hit following a 1-0 loss to Siwelele FC at Dr Molemela Stadium. The Limpopo outfit remain rooted to the bottom of the standings with 21 points, while Siwelele moved into 10th spot, level on 36 points.

In KwaZulu-Natal, Richards Bay FC and Sekhukhune United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Richards Bay Stadium. Lundi Mahala gave the hosts the lead before Lehlohonolo Mojela struck late to rescue a point for Babina Noko. Richards Bay sit 11th with 34 points, while Sekhukhune remain fifth on 43 points.

Golden Arrows strengthened their push for a top-eight finish with a convincing 2-0 win over Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. Goals from Isaac Cisse and Sede Dion lifted Abafana Bes'thende to sixth place with 40 points, while Chippa are 13th on 25 points.

At Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane City and Marumo Gallants played out a 1-1 draw, with Banele Mnguni and Mohamed Doumbia on target. Polokwane remain seventh on 40 points, while Gallants are 14th with 24 points.

With just a few games remaining, the relegation battle is intensifying, with several teams still fighting to secure their top-flight status.
