Brandon Truter close to joining Chippa United as new head coach - reports

The former Moroka Swallows, Richards Bay, AmaZulu and Sekhukhune United mentor is expected to be installed ahead of the club's final Betway Premiership clash of the season away to Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.

The Chilli Boys are in danger of dropping out of the South African top-flight and need a win at the weekend to avoid the relegation/promotion play-offs.

Chippa are currently in 13th place with 25 points from 29 games, just one clear of 14th placed Marumo Gallants and Orbit College in 15th position.

Truter will become Chippa's sixth coach this season after seemingly failed appointments of Sinethemba Badela, Musa Nyatama, Luc Eymael, Vusumuzi Vilakazi and Hlanga Dikeni.
