Report: Barcelona's keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen rejects club's medical ploy
Barcelona's goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has refused to bow to pressure from the Blaugrana, declining to sign a medical report the club sought to submit to La Liga.
Oriol Romeu is also expected to leave, along with the 19-year-old star.
Fort, a highly rated La Masia graduate, is no longer part of new head coach Hansi Flick's plans for the 2025-26 campaign. The rise of Eric Garcia as a viable right-back option has significantly impacted Fort's standing within the squad.
Although Barcelona initially preferred to sell Fort with a buy-back clause, the club has since shifted course.
A loan move is now the preferred option, with the club keen for Fort to gain regular minutes rather than endure another season on the fringes.
A move within La Liga is seen as the most likely route, though interest has also come from abroad - namely AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.
However, if a suitable loan proposal does not materialise, Barcelona remain open to a permanent sale.
Last season, Fort made 17 La Liga appearances for Barcelona, playing 585 minutes. He also played in two UEFA Champions League matches, and one Copa del Rey match.
