Report: Liverpool eye PSG's Bradley Barcola should Yan Diomande move fail

Diomande remains Liverpool's leading candidate to strengthen their wide attacking positions, with the club continuing its long-term planning for a future without Mohamed Salah.

However, talks with RB Leipzig have stalled, as the German side are demanding significantly more than the 86m-pound Liverpool were originally prepared to pay.

Leipzig are also in discussions with PSG over Diomande's potential transfer, while the player himself is believed to favour a switch to the French champions.

As a result, Liverpool are broadening their search for attacking reinforcements. They have already brought in Victor Munoz from Osasuna, but further additions on the flanks are still expected as part of their recruitment drive.

Barcola has emerged as one of the names under consideration. His position at PSG has become increasingly uncertain amid frustration over limited involvement in major fixtures, including being left out of the squad for key matches such as the Champions League final against Arsenal.

There is growing belief that, if dissatisfaction persists following his return from international duty with France after the World Cup, a summer exit could become a realistic possibility.

PSG would prefer to keep the 21-year-old winger, but they are open to a sale if he pushes for a move and their valuation is met. They are, however, firm that he will not be allowed to leave at a reduced fee.

With two years remaining on his current contract, this summer could represent a strategic point for a transfer should renewal talks fail to progress.
