Report: Man City attacker Savinho considers Tottenham transfer

The 22-year-old Brazil international has emerged as one of Spurs' leading attacking targets, with head coach Roberto de Zerbi keen to bring him to north London.

City are understood to be aware of Tottenham's interest, while the player is also eager to move on, with negotiations and groundwork for a deal already progressing.

Tottenham were previously interested in signing Savinho last summer, but City had no intention of sanctioning his departure after securing his services from sister club Troyes in July 2024 for 30.8 million pounds. He later signed a two-year contract extension in October that year, tying him to the Premier League club until 2031.

Before completing his move to the Etihad Stadium, Savinho impressed during a loan spell at Girona throughout the 2023-24 campaign.

The Brazilian enjoyed a prominent role in his first season under Pep Guardiola, becoming a regular in the starting line-up. He featured 48 times in all competitions and contributed three goals during his debut campaign.

However, his opportunities became more limited the following season, making 36 appearances across Guardiola's final year in charge of City.

Increased competition for places played a significant part, with Rayan Cherki, who arrived from Lyon last summer, and January signing Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth both challenging for attacking roles, particularly on the right flank.
