Dladla, who stepped in to replace Zipho Dlangalala early in the 2024/25 season, played a pivotal role in guiding the team back to the Betway Premiership. Despite the team's on-field success, the club and coach couldn't see eye to eye off the pitch when it came to contract terms.
"Following a series of discussions, the Club and Head Coach Simo Dladla have been unable to reach an agreement on a new contract of employment for the Betway Premiership Season," read an official club statement.
"As such, Coach Dladla will not be continuing in his role with the Club going forward. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for his professionalism and the significant impact he's had on our recent successes."
The Durban-based club, formerly known as Maritzburg United, will now shift focus to appointing a new head coach ahead of the fast-approaching season.
Further updates on the coaching search are expected in the coming weeks.
