Siwelele FC opt against signing Keagan Dolly and Thabiso Kutumela

As part of their pre-season preparations, Siwelele evaluated several free agents to bolster their squad. Dolly, who left TS Galaxy after a seven-month spell, and Kutumela, recently released by Richards Bay FC, were among the notable names on trial, FarPost wrote.

Dolly joined Galaxy in November 2023 after leaving Kaizer Chiefs, where injuries limited his impact despite making 67 appearances, scoring 14 goals, and providing 11 assists. At Galaxy, he featured 20 times and netted three goals.

Kutumela, 32, previously played for Mamelodi Sundowns, winning a treble before joining Richards Bay. He managed one goal in 11 appearances during the 2024/25 season.

Despite their experience, Siwelele decided not to sign either player due to strong competition in their positions. In attack, the club already has Samir Nurkovic, Thabang Mahlangu, and Nokutenda Mangezi.

For wide and attacking midfield roles, options include Vincent Pule, Christian Saile, Thabang Makhubo, and Tendamudzimu Matodzi.

Both Dolly and Kutumela have since stopped training with the team.

This decision follows the release of other trialists such as Xola Mlambo and Kamohelo Mahlatsi.

Defender Kwanda Mngonyama, who was also on trial, has been called up to the Bafana Bafana CHAN squad, which may influence Siwelele's next moves.
