Sundowns look to extend Betway Premiership lead against TS Galaxy

Sundowns are currently at the top of the table, having played 15 matches. They are in a commanding position to clinch the championship, especially after their recent 4-1 victory over Orlando Pirates. This crucial win not only boosted their morale but also extended their lead over Pirates to nine points.

"I will keep on saying that the championship is far from being finished, but now each match we play we can close it more and more," said Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso.

"But there is a long way to go, we just have a small advantage that we should respect and to do that is to give our best and the best is already on Tuesday."

Before their dominant display against Pirates, Sundowns were already in sensational form, enjoying a nine-match winning streak.

Their run included victories against Cape Town City, Stellenbosch, and SuperSport United, showcasing their consistency and attacking prowess.

However, TS Galaxy will pose a formidable challenge. The side is unbeaten in their last 11 league matches, having won five and drawn five during this impressive run.

Their most recent triumph came in a 1-0 win against Chippa United, further cementing their solid form.

The Rockets currently sit in 7th place on the table with 22 points from 16 matches. While they are far from the title race, their resilience makes them a difficult side to break down.
