Miguel Cardoso: I will not allow anyone to celebrate
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso says his side won't celebrate an eighth consecutive South African top-flight title until the job is done.
Victory for Sundowns would seal an unprecedented eighth consecutive league title, taking them to 67 points - out of reach for any rival, even with games in hand.
Currently leading the table with 64 points from 25 matches, the Pretoria giants need just three more to be crowned champions. Their closest challengers, Orlando Pirates, sit on 54 points from 22 games and can only match Sundowns' potential tally if they win all their remaining fixtures.
Zwane, who recently returned from a long injury layoff sustained during international duty with Bafana Bafana last year, is eager to contribute to his team's historic run.
"Honestly, I'm expecting a tough game. Stellenbosch have been doing well, especially in the Confederation Cup, and we know they'll come at us hard. But we've also been performing well - scoring goals, creating chances - so it's going to be an exciting match," Zwane told the club's media.
The seasoned midfielder expressed his joy at returning to action, highlighting the support from his teammates during his recovery.
"It feels great to be back. I've worked really hard to return, and being with the team again brings me joy. I can also see that my brothers [teammates] are happy for me," he added.
