Thomas Muller eyes MLS adventure as Bayern Munich exit looms

With his 25-year tenure at the Bundesliga giants drawing to a close, the 35-year-old forward is weighing his options, including a possible switch to the United States.

"I'm making inquiries in the U.S.," Muller told Sky Germany, hinting at his interest in a new chapter across the Atlantic. While no deal is confirmed, sources indicate that Los Angeles FC, Bayern's partner club in the MLS, are among the frontrunners to secure his signature.

Muller, who has won 12 Bundesliga titles and two UEFA Champions League trophies, remains undecided about his future. "There's nothing concrete at the moment, but I have ideas," he said. "We're keeping it exciting. The next few weeks will reveal more."

With Bayern set to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025, Muller's focus remains on his final moments with the club. "The Club World Cup will be an exciting experience," he added.

Los Angeles FC are reportedly determined to make Muller one of the MLS's biggest stars, with Bayern's joint venture partner, Red&Gold Football, actively pushing for the move.

However, Muller emphasized he has no fixed plan. "I don't have a full strategy yet," he admitted, reflecting on his departure from Bayern after a storied career.

Meanwhile, Bayern fans continue to celebrate Müller's legacy, with the club's official X account sharing emotional tributes during his final home game on May 10, where the Allianz Arena rose to honor their icon.

As Muller prepares for his last Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim and the Club World Cup, the football world awaits his next move. Will the versatile forward bring his trademark flair to the MLS, or could retirement beckon? For now, Muller's future remains an open question, but his appetite for a fresh challenge is clear.
