Tsiki Ntsabeleng returns to Mamelodi Sundowns on a permanent deal

Ntsabeleng spent last season on loan at Chloorkop, where he made 14 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

FC Dallas confirmed the transfer on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.

"Tsiki Ntsabeleng has been permanently transferred to African champions Mamelodi Sundowns FC," the club wrote.

The 28-year-old, who previously came through Kaizer Chiefs’ development structures, clearly impressed Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso during his loan spell, earning himself a permanent move to the reigning CAF Champions League winners.

During his four seasons with FC Dallas, Ntsabeleng made 92 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and registering seven assists.

With his future now secured, the winger will be eager to make a significant impact at Sundowns. However, he faces stiff competition for a place in the starting line-up, with the Pretoria club boasting one of the strongest squads in South African football.

Sundowns will be aiming to defend their CAF Champions League crown while also reclaiming the Betway Premiership title after losing out to Orlando Pirates last season. They are also expected to challenge strongly in every domestic competition.

The new Betway Premiership season is set to resume on Saturday, but Sundowns have been granted additional time before returning to league action.

Their opening fixture against Marumo Gallants has been postponed following the passing of midfielder Jayden Adams, which disrupted the club’s pre-season preparations. A new date for the match will be announced by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in due course.
