Lebohang Maboe: Kaizer Chiefs want to beat Zamalek 'at all costs'
Lebohang Maboe's growing wait for a first Kaizer Chiefs start adds an intriguing subplot to a crucial CAF Confederation Cup encounter on Saturday.

The White Knights have struggled for form recently, going winless in their last three games, including a 1-1 draw with Ghazl El Mahallah on October 4. That result leaves them tied on 18 points at the top of the table with Al Masry, Al Ahly and ENPPI SC.
Ferrera's squad has also faced training complications, currently practicing at the Military Academy Stadium after plans to return to their base fell through. Reports of player unrest due to financial difficulties have added to the uncertainty, though Ferreira remains steadfast in his confidence.
"When you are at a club like Zamalek, you must win titles," Ferrera told Africanootball.com.
"We have 18 points now, but we should have 21. The team still has the ability to finish the league in the top two positions. We have to deal with the problems off the pitch, and we can finish in the top two and participate in the Champions League next season."
He acknowledged the logistical challenges faced by the team, including the lack of a proper gym near the training pitch.
"The plan was to train for a few months outside the club's stadium and then move to the club's branch on 6th of October, but Zamalek's land was withdrawn," Ferrera explained.
Addressing rumours of a player revolt or a potential January departure for Abdelhamid Maali, Ferrera dismissed them as false and damaging.
"I did not speak to the players about boycotting matches because of the financial crisis. Such news negatively impacts the club," he said.
Despite the challenges, Ferrera insists his squad remains focused on the pitch, confident that Zamalek can overcome off-field distractions to compete at the highest level this season.
