Atletico Madrid's Diego Simeone shuts down Julian Alvarez Barcelona transfer talk
Diego Simeone has insisted Julian Alvarez will remain at Atletico Madrid despite growing transfer interest from Barcelona and other major clubs.

The 27-year-old is set to spend the season with the Reds, who will reportedly have the opportunity to make his move permanent at the end of the loan spell. The proposed agreement would give Liverpool an option to purchase the defender.
Araujo's arrival would address Liverpool's need for additional defensive depth following Ibrahima Konate's departure. The Frenchman left the club as a free agent to join Real Madrid.
Despite his established status at Barcelona, Araujo endured a reduced role last season, starting just 11 La Liga matches. Gerard Martin and Pau Cubarsi became the Catalan club's favoured pairing at the heart of the defence.
Araujo nevertheless remains a highly experienced figure at Camp Nou. He has featured more than 200 times for Barcelona since arriving from Uruguayan side Boston River in 2018 and helped the club claim three La Liga titles across the last four campaigns.
The defender also wore the captain's armband during the latter stages of last season.
Araujo remains tied to Barcelona until 2031, making Liverpool's reported purchase option potentially significant if the loan move develops into a permanent transfer.
