Harry Kane hails young Bayern Munich sensation Lennart Karl after impressive rise

Karl, 17, has caught the eye with his direct style and flair, earning praise from teammates and fans alike. Speaking to Bild, Kane said he believed the youngster had the talent and mentality to go far if he continued to work hard.

"He's a fantastic player. He's not afraid to dribble," Kane said. "He just has to keep working hard, and he'll have a great future ahead of him."

When asked whether Karl could force his way into Germany's squad for the 2026 World Cup, Kane admitted it was possible if the youngster continued to perform consistently. "Who knows? If he plays a bit more from now on and plays like he did against Club Brugge, then he has a chance," the England captain added.

Bayern continued their dominant form in the Bundesliga at the weekend with a comfortable 3-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach. The hosts' task became even harder after an early red card to Jens Castrop in the 18th minute left them a man down, and Bayern took full control of the match after the break.

Goals from Joshua Kimmich, Raphael Guerreiro and Lennart Karl sealed another convincing victory, keeping Bayern top of the table as they chase their 35th league title.

For Karl, who came off the bench late in the second half and marked his Bundesliga debut goal with a stunning curling strike, the night marked another step in his promising rise. With senior teammates like Kane backing him publicly, the young forward appears to be on a strong path towards greater opportunities for both club and country.
