Kaizer Chiefs confirm Ranga Chivaviro will leave club when his contract expires

Chivaviro has scored nine goals in 45 appearances for Amakhosi across two seasons and has largely failed to impress at the Soweto giants.

The club said in a statement: "Kaizer Chiefs will not be extending striker Ranga Chivaviro's contract when it expires at the end of the month.

"We thank Ranga for his positive contribution to the team and wish him all the best in his future exploits."

The forward joins Sabelo Radebe and Njabulo Blom as the third Chiefs player to be released by the club after a disappointing campaign.

Amakhosi did win the Nedbank Cup when they beat rivals Orlando Pirates 2-1 in the final but could only finish a lowly ninth in the Betway Premiership standings.
