Kaizer Chiefs' starlet makes US switch

The 15-year-old excelled for Amakhosi in their U15 side in the 2024/25 SAFA Gauteng Development League and has since been snapped up by Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC and will link up with their youth academy.

A Chiefs Instagram post read: "Chukwudi Luvuno has officially joined Charlotte Academy in the United States representing Charlotte Academy U16 & U17 in the MLS Next — the youth development league of Major League Soccer — Chukwu continues to make us proud on international soil.

"Well done, Chukwu! Keep flying the flag high."
