The 23-year-old forward embarks on a new international chapter just days after concluding his third spell at K'Ogalo, MozzartSport.co.ke reported.
Widely considered one of Kenya's brightest attacking prospects, Omalla will be looking to reignite his career after a turbulent stint abroad. He previously joined Lebanese Premier League side Al Safa in August 2024, fresh from a Golden Boot-winning FKF Premier League campaign, where he netted 19 goals.
However, his time in Lebanon was marred by political unrest and financial instability. Military strikes in October 2024 disrupted the league, and Omalla, among several players, went unpaid. Citing FIFA statutes that permit contract termination after two months of non-payment, he returned to Kenya and re-signed with Gor Mahia.
Despite high expectations, Omalla struggled to find his rhythm upon his return. He scored just twice in the Mozzart Bet Cup and failed to register any goals in the league.
Gor Mahia's season ended in disappointment, surrendering the FKF Premier League title to Kenya Police FC and suffering a 2-1 defeat to Nairobi United in the domestic cup, bringing their nine-year trophy dominance to an end.
Now, with a fresh start in Southeast Asia, Omalla will hope to re-establish himself and fulfil the potential that once made him one of the most feared forwards in East African football.
