Gernot Rohr lifts lid on Super Eagles' failed bid to land Bayern Munich star Michael Olise
Michael Olise's rise to the top of European football has come with lingering questions about what could have been for the Nigeria national football team.

Introduced with 20 minutes remaining, the Nigerian forward made an instant impact, needing just two minutes to find the winner.
Iheanacho brought the ball down with his chest before calmly finishing, ensuring Celtic stayed within touching distance of league leaders Heart of Midlothian.
The former Manchester City attacker is enjoying an impressive campaign in Scotland, having scored seven goals in 20 appearances across all competitions.
Notably, six of those goals have come as a substitute - against Kilmarnock, Red Star Belgrade, Dundee and St Mirren (twice), as well as Hibernian - highlighting his ability to influence games in key moments.
Bonner, speaking on BBC Sportsound as reported by All Nigeria Soccer, acknowledged Iheanacho's qualities while pointing to the striker's effectiveness in short bursts.
"Everybody connected with Celtic breathed a sigh of relief at the end. They made really hard work of it," he said.
"Iheanacho came off the bench and he's a proven striker. The big problem for him is lasting a full game but what an impact he made. The goal was really, really good."
With his stock continuing to rise, Iheanacho's future at Celtic is now under the spotlight, with his current contract set to expire on June 30, 2026.
