Bafana winger Thembinkosi Lorch signs for Libyan league leaders Al-Ittihad SC
Bafana Bafana winger Thembinkosi Lorch has sealed a move to Libyan giants Al-Ittihad SC from Wydad Casablanca.

The 32-year-old former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns attacker initially joined Wydad on loan in 2025 after following former Brazilians boss Rulani Mokwena to the Moroccan Botolo Pro league team.
He ultimately signed a permanent deal and went on to play 30 games in all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
He most recently came on as a substitute in the 2-1 CAF Confederations Cup Group B defeat to AS Maniema Union.
Lorch wrote online: "As I move on to the next chapter of my career, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the club for the opportunity. The support and the unforgettable memories we created together.
"Wearing the Wydad shirt has been a true honour and privilege. I am deeply thankful to the club president, management, technical staff, all the employees. And my teammates for the trust, guidance, and support I received throughout my time here.
"The experiences, lessons and friendships I've gained will stay with me for the rest of my career and my life. To the fans; thank you for your incredible passion and unwavering support. Your energy made every match special and constantly pushed us to give our very best on the pitch.
“I leave with nothing but respect, appreciation and love for this great club. I wish Wydad continued success in the seasons ahead. This will always feel like home to me and I hope our paths cross again in the future.”
