TS Galaxy close in on promising defender Bongolwethu Siyasi

According to iDiski Times, the Rockets have already reached an agreement with the youngster following his impressive 2024/25 season with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Venda FC.

His consistent form and maturity at the back were key highlights for Venda, earning him recognition as one of the most promising defenders in the division.

Siyasi's career path has taken an interesting turn in recent months. In July, he was unveiled by Marumo Gallants, sparking excitement around a potential move.

However, the deal fell through before he could sign a binding contract, leaving him unattached and free to negotiate elsewhere.

Galaxy quickly pounced on the opportunity to bring him on board, especially as they continue strengthening their squad following the recent FIFA ruling that lifted restrictions on their transfer activity.

Having also featured for Cape Town Spurs earlier in his career, Siyasi is no stranger to top-flight football. At just 22 years old, he offers both versatility and potential for growth, qualities that TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic values highly.

Siyasi is expected to finalise his move in the coming days and could make his debut soon after.

For Galaxy, his signing will represent an opportunity to add depth to their defensive unit as they target an improved showing in the 2025/26 campaign, which has seen them having already registered two wins and two losses in their first four league games.

The Rockets are also reported to announce additional reinforcements before the transfer deadline on 22 September.
