Zamalek coach Yannick Ferrera delivers brutal message to striker Seifeddine Jaziri
Zamalek head coach Yannick Ferrera has delivered a brutal verdict on striker Seifeddine Jaziri's future, insisting the Tunisian forward has no place in his plans.
The ban was confirmed by club board member Amr Adham in a statement broadcast on Zamalek TV.
Hamad, a Palestinian international, joined the Egyptian giants during the 2024 winter transfer window but made only three appearances, totalling 118 minutes on the pitch. Despite the brief stint, the club reportedly owes him EGP 1.7 million in unpaid wages.
This latest sanction adds to Zamalek's ongoing financial struggles. It comes in the wake of recent repayments made to settle debts with former head coach Jaime Pacheco and ex-striker Khalid Boutaib.
The recurrence of such issues highlights persistent mismanagement within the club's financial operations.
Adham stressed that the outstanding amount to Hamad is expected to be settled imminently, a necessary step if the club is to lift the ban and return to the transfer market.
The Egyptian Football Association and FIFA regulations require clubs to resolve all outstanding debts before registering new players.
The ban represents a significant setback for Zamalek's rebuilding efforts, as they continue to grapple with off-field issues that have begun to overshadow on-pitch performances.
