Magesi FC defeat Cape Town City in PSL promotion/relegation playoff
Cape Town City's promotion/relegation playoff campaign took another damaging blow after they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Magesi FC at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

While City have endured a difficult start to the mini-league campaign, Freese insists their top-flight status means little once the action gets underway, with Magesi fully focused on securing maximum points on home soil.
The Limpopo outfit have made an encouraging start to the play-offs and know another positive result could significantly boost their promotion hopes.
"We are not going to underestimate anybody," Freese told KickOff.
"These games have proved in the past that being a top-flight team doesn't give you an advantage at all, so we are targeting three points in all our home matches."
Cape Town City enter the fixture under mounting pressure after suffering a setback against Milford, with questions once again being asked about their ability to cope in high-stakes play-off situations.
Former National First Division coach Zeca Marques believes the Citizens' struggles stem largely from a psychological challenge rather than a lack of quality.
"The reason Cape Town City struggles or chokes so much each time they get into the play-offs is because of one thing only - pressure," said Marques.
"You can have all the resources you want, but the most important one is the psychological factor and the ability to cope with pressure."
According to Marques, City possess enough talent to compete but have repeatedly failed to perform at their highest level when the stakes are greatest.
"This is the difference between being a champion and not being a champion. Champions can overcome pressure," he added.
Despite City's defeat to Milford, Marques believes the result should not be viewed as evidence of a poor performance.
“They lost by one goal, which tells you they were in the game and competing. The real test now is resilience and whether they have what it takes to respond under pressure.”
