PSL Preview Wrap: Top-flight newcomers brace for tough tests as Premiership returns
As the Betway Premiership returns this weekend, all eyes will be on the newcomers to see how they adapt to the demands of top-flight football.

The Limpopo based team begin their 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign with a short trip to face rivals Polokwane City, who they lost the last derby against in February.
Three days later Magesi will the host a dangerous Stellenbosch side before attempting to get their first victory in the league against defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns a week later.
Dikwena tsa Meetse then end the month of August with matches against KwaZulu-Natal rivals Golden Arrows in Durban before travelling home to host AmaZulu.
Magesi completed the double over Arrows last season with a 1-0 win in both league fixtures but lost both encounters against Usuthu without scoring a goal.
They also parted ways with ten players following the 2024/25 season which included the experienced Gift Motupa, Neverdie Makhubela and Given Mashikinya.
The club secured the services of Kgothatso Mariba, Kgomotso Mosadi and Abbey Seseane all from Sekhukhune United as they look to refresh their squad for the upcoming season.
John Maduka was appointed as head coach for the upcoming season, and he is optimistic about his team taking up the challenge to improve in their second campaign in the top-flight.
"We are looking forward to the coming season, said Maduka to the media at the Betway Premiership launch.
"This is the second season for us, it's not going to be easy, maybe last season the teams thought we still a new team, a young team, this time around it's not going to be the same, it's going to be very difficult."
“So, we are very excited to see how our second season goes about and looking for to the league,” concluded the former Royal AM coach.
